Capcom has no plans for PS4 version of Ultra Street Fighter IV

Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono has revealed that there are no plans to bring the upcoming Ultra Street Fighter IV to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Wii U.

Writing on Twitter, the celebrated games designer confirmed the game is only slated for release on current-generation systems and PC.

“PS3/360/PC at this moment. Thanks :D,” wrote Ono-san in response to a fan asking if the brawler would arrive on next-gen consoles.

Earlier this week, Ono-san shot down rumors of Street Fighter V’s development, revealing he lacked the necessary budget and staff members to get a new game off the ground at present.

Ultra Street Fighter IV adds new characters, stage and balance tweaks and will be released in 2014. You’ll be able to pick it up as a standalone retail release or as a $14.99 digital upgrade to the exiting SSFIV: Arade Edition.
