Codemasters is reportedly beavering away on a new project for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, due out in 2014.
That’s at least according to the LinkedIn profile of Carl Middleton, an environment artist with the studio, which lists an “undisclosed next-gen title” accompanied by a projected release date of next year.
Middleton has quite the racing pedigree, having previously been involved with F1 Race Stars, F1 2011and F1 2012, and is responsible for “research, prototyping and asset creation for [the] future ‘undisclosed’ title.”
The company has yet to make any formal announcements regarding its plans for next-generation hardware, though a PS4 and Xbox One version of F1 2014 has been hinted at.
Codemasters is currently gearing up for the release of its latest entry in the F1 series for 2013, which hits shelves in September for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.
