GTA V movie out of the question; how about a TV series?

In an interview with UK paper The Guardian, Rockstar’s Dan Houser was asked if fans would ever see a GTA movie, to which he replied.

"We’ve been offered, many times, and it’s never appealed. The money’s never been close to be worth risking one’s crown jewels. Our small dabblings with Hollywood have always left us running back to games."

But this doesn’t rule out GTA appearing in other media, as Houser went on to say.

"There’s still plenty of kudos in doing a film, but you shouldn’t ever do anything in your life for kudos,’ says Houser. ‘It’s much easier to imagine GTA as a TV series, as the form is closer, but I still think we’d be losing too much to ever actually do it."

So can we expect to see GTA on the small screen soon, and, if so, how would one hundred hours of game play in GTA V alone transfer to a TV show ?

GTA V is released across multiple platforms on September 17, 2013. Would you like to see a GTA TV show, movie or any other spin off ? Let us know in the comments.
