UPDATE:
Pete Hines, Bethesda’s VP of Marketing and PR, confirmed via Twitter that the listing on Bethesda’s official site was a mistake due to CMS issues with the site. He also took the opportunity on Twitter to squash any rumored announcements based on the email that was sent out yesterday by declaring it as "another fan hoax."
Bethesda appears to be evaluating how their information is being dispersed thanks to the various hoaxes recently. As always, we will keep you posted with any further developments regarding Bethesda games.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Skyrim is currently listed as “available now” on Bethesda’s official page alongside PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 (via OnlySP).
No official announcement has been made by Bethesda and a quick search of the latest news on Bethsoft.com turns up nothing in regards to Skyrim appearing on next-generation consoles.
This could be a mistake in the listing, but earlier today an email was sent out with an image that references a possible Bethesda announcement on January 12. With so many hoaxes in regards to video game announcements like Fallout 4, it is hard to determine how legitimate the email is.
We will update as more information becomes available.
