HBO CEO Richard Plepler announced on a BuzzFeed Brew live interview that the HBO GO app will be coming to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
The app requires an HBO subscription via cable or satellite provider. HBO GO allows full access to numerous documentaries, movies, comedy specials, and every episode of shows you might have heard of like Game of Thrones or Boardwalk Empire.
The app is supposed to hit the PS3 first, though Plepler did not specify a release date. There was no mention of a PS Vita version, but remote play could ostensibly be a workaround for the PS4 which could certainly use a beefed-up entertainment app selections.
The new Game of Thrones trailer for the highly anticipated season 4 was released recently and True Detective is off to a very intriguing start after its first episode.
We will keep you updated on release information as it becomes available.
