Industry insider ‘DemonNite’ has dropped some possible hints pertaining to a PlayStation 4-exclusive entry in the Souls franchise that began with Demon’s Souls on PS3.
“Sony haven’t won anything and they won’t think they won either. It’s going to be another generation of hard work and great games,” he wrote on NeoGAF (via DualShockers).
In response, user MrChocolate said, “Should I bet my soul on it?”
“If by souls you mean another PS4 exclusive Souls spinoff then maybe? ;)” added DemonNite.
While the Internet could merely be jumping the gun, it is interesting to note DemonNite’s use of the words ‘another spinoff.’ Still, we advise you to sprinkle this report with a pinch of salt before taking a bite, and stay tuned for further information.
The next chapter in the Souls series, Dark Souls II, is scheduled for release on March 11 in the U.S. and March 14 in the U.K. for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.
