Hotline Miami's official Twitter announced an ambiguous Q3 2014 release date for Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number reported Joystiq.

The follow-up to the graphically violent 2D actioner is “a brutal conclusion to the gruesome saga,” according to Devolver Digital. The game will feature multiple factions featuring several distinct characters and intersecting storylines. It wouldn’t be Hotline Miami if it didn’t feature plenty of violence, minimalist graphics, and a badass soundtrack.

It should be worth the wait a follow up tweet by Hotline Miami stated.

Hotline Miami 2 received criticism over a controversial implied rape scene in a playable demo that made the tradeshow rounds in 2013. The developers chose to edit that scene after negative reactions.

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number will release on PS4 and PS Vita.

Looking forward to more frustration and violence? How about more of that awesome soundtrack from the first Hotline Miami? Let us know what you think in the comments.
