Foul-mouthed action hero Duke Nukem looks set to unleash hell on PlayStation 4 and PC in the shape of Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction.
That’s according to a now-defunct teaser website alloutofgum.com, which featured a countdown timer due to wrap up on February 25. More telling is the image of a brand of chewing gun titled ‘Original Kick-Ass’ flavor — the Duke’s favorite.
Fans were asked to ‘like’ the game’s Facebook page 10,000 times in order to decipher a block of alien text. This was later cracked by the chaps at Duke4.net, who translated the text as:
"The King makes his next-generation debut in Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction. A top-down action role-playing game for PC and PlayStation.
"Duke Nukem kicks ass across planets in an Unreal Engine-powered galactic adventure to save the President from an apocalyptic alien threat."
Developer Interceptor Entertainment previously worked on Duke Nukem: Reloaded, a remake of the classic first-person shooter, Duke Nukem 3D, for a number of years before the project was scrapped back in 2011.
The last time we saw The King on our screens was the ill-fated Duke Nukem: Forever, which hit stores three years ago to a critical mauling from reviewers after being in development for a staggering 15 years.
