To add even more weight to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita’s budding indie catalogue, developer Double Eleven has announced the release of PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate on both systems.
The game will be getting a complete graphical upgrade for its jump onto PlayStation 4, with the introduction of real-time lighting, new visual FX and increased resolution of particles and shaders to create more responsive and better fluids. PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate will run at 60 frames per second, too.
The PlayStation Vita version of the game will feature complex fluid-simulated environment that will squeeze all the power that Sony’s handheld system has to offer.
Interestingly, this edition of PixelJunk Shooter will comprise of the original and sequel, with the former now having all the upgrades and tweaks that were introduced by the second game to create one seamless continual experience.
PixelJunk Shooter is scheduled for release this coming summer – don’t forget to give us your thoughts on its impending launch below.
