The expected sequel to the much-loved islander, Far Cry 3 is set for an early 2015 release and will be set in the high mountain ranges of the Himalayas, according to a report compiled by Eurogamer.

The game – which will most definitely be heading to PS4, Xbox One and PC – will retain most of the championed gameplay aspects of its predecessor, such as liberating outposts and having very flora/fauna-centric cultivation properties. And, of course, will now include the ability to traverse the peaked locale atop of an elephant. Yes, an elephant.

Our first glimpse of Ubisoft’s snow-heavy sequel will be coming at the developer’s press conference at E3 in June, where it’s expected a teaser and full release date will be disclosed.

Are you looking forward to swapping sand for snow? Can’t wait to delve into Ubisoft’s newly-developed world? Give us a shout below.
