New The Evil Within gameplay trailer terrifies and thrills in equal measure

Tango Gameworks’ maiden gaming title, The Evil Within, is quickly becoming a pronounced favourite here in the PSU towers and with good reason, as evident in its newly-released gameplay trailer.

The game’s brainchild, Mikami-San is most certainly at it again, looking to provide horrific, blood-curdling scares with a distinctly psychological underscore – and if this trailer is anything to go by, he looks to be succeeding outright.

Showing a mesh of animal sacrifices, corrupted zealots, sunny flowers and even guillotines, The Evil Within looks like the type of horror game fans have been waiting intently for, especially considering the gung-ho route many previously horror-orientated series’ have taken in recent time.

Check out the trailer below.

The Evil Within is scheduled to hit both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on August 26 in North America and three days later in Europe. Stay tuned for more coverage as it hits and as ever, give us your thoughts below.
