War Thunder Ground Forces invades the U.S.

Gaijin Entertainment’s War Thunder: Ground Forces is available today in the U.S. on PlayStation 4. Having enjoyed a successful launch in the U.K. and Europe some months ago, U.S. gamers can now enjoy everything the World War II dogfighter has to offer, including the brand new Ground Forces expansion.

In addition to the unprecedented amount of content already available, the expansion consists of 350 different planes, new tanks, 150 multiplayer-based missions and squadron battles. Furthermore, PS4 gamers can now cross-play with owners of the PC version. Now that sounds like an epic battle!

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Gaijin’s Alexander Trifonov said:

"This exciting addition allows the players to control armored vehicles such as tanks and anti-air guns which are fighting AI and player-controlled planes in some of the game modes, simulating the realities of war where different army branches always supplemented each other in battles.

"But it’s not about armored vehicles only – all of the other features found in the latest 1.41 version of the game are included as well: 350 different planes, squadron battles, more than 150 multiplayer missions and many other improvements."
