E3 2014 Awards: Best Platformer

A huge congratulations to Oddworld New ‘n’ Tasty developer Just Add Water who scoops another E3 2014 award following success in the Best Indie Game category.

Platform games live and die by great level design, and New ‘n’ Tasty gets it spot-on. Taking its inspiration from a series that made its name by perfectly balancing action, challenge, and stylish presentation, this re-imagining of Abe’s Odyesee represents platforming at its very best.

Throw into the mix some crisp 1080p visuals, great character design, and intelligent puzzles and you’ve got one fun and engaging game that is bound to appease fans of the original and new Oddworld players alike.

New ‘n’ Tasty is the thinking man’s platfomer, and though we still hold the original game close to our hearts, it’s just as engaging playing it today as it was in 1997.
