E3 2014: Project Morpheus hands-on impressions: the next giant leap in gaming immersion

On the last day of E3 2014, I was very fortunate to participate in a hands-on (or should I say heads-on) demo of Sony’s virtual reality headset Project Morpheus. Being aware of how its technology works and seeing video of what I would be playing did not prepare me at all for the real deal. For the first time in years, a piece of gaming hardware blew me away, providing a reinvigorating shot of excitement for the future of gaming.

The golden ticket.

Morpheus gave me an unprecedented immersive experience. It allowed me to escape reality and step into a completely different world – so much that I almost started physically walking while having it on. A childlike wonder revived in me as I moved my head around and behind me to see the virtual world around me.

I absolutely cannot wait for Morpheus to launch so I can get another taste. Check out more of my thoughts in the video below and keep checking to PSU for more impressions from E3.
