Sony is on a mass recruitment drive, taking to business networking site LinkedIn to advertise no less than 191 jobs spanning across its various divisions.
From Sony Music Entertainment and Sony Pictures to Sony Online Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment America, there’s a broad list of jobs up for grabs.
It’s the roles in the videogames sector that have caught our eye, however. SCEA is looking for the likes of a Business Development Manager for Gaikai and a Senior Marketing Manager for PlayStation Now. There’s advertisements for Brand Managers, Software Engineers, Sales Analysts, Network Engineers and many more.
There are many roles that appear to focus on cloud-gaming, security and marketing, suggesting that Sony Computer Entertainment are going to be putting a lot of effort and resources into making PlayStation Now a resounding success.
The closed beta for PlayStation Now is currently in full swing with an open beta scheduled for July 31, 2014.
Sony is using the tagline “Seize your moment” to encourage PS4 owners to try the beta phase, which will give gamers access to a catalogue of titles that can be rented and streamed directly to their console and other devices.
The service will open up access to a back catalogue of PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 titles at launch, with PlayStation 4 games added at a later date. Games can be streamed on a variety of devices, including PS3, PS4, PS Vita, mobile devices and BRAVIA TVs.
