Russian online gaming retailer ‘Videoigr.net’ has listed a next-generation sequel for Resident Evil: Revelations on its site, sparking rumours of a reveal by Capcom at Tokyo Game Show.
The listing itself is sparse, with just a placeholder box-art, the formats of PS4, PS3 and Xbox One and the inevitable 18s certification – good news for people thinking that Resident Evil could go even further off the boil. Its release date is pencilled in for December 3 this year, which is a Wednesday, oddly enough. It’s subject to change, of course.
Crucially the website has a decent record when it comes to premature listings, with the appearance of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag coming a month or two before its official announcement.
Still, as it stands, stick this one firmly into the rumor bank for now. Don’t forget to check back with PSU for any official clarification from Capcom.
Originally a 3DS-exclusive, Resident Evil: Revelations was later ported to the PlayStation 3 in a HD revamp, selling impressively with over one million units shipped.
