Electronic Arts’ bloody shooter Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel assaults stores this week, and reviews have quietly started to pour in.
The franchise’s third release to date, Army of Two is very much the quintessential manifestation of dumb fun; a bro-shooter packed with guns, guts and massive explosions. In this latest entry, gamers find themselves in Mexico where protagonists Alpha and Bravo end up battling amidst a raging drug war.
Co-op is once again at the forefront of the action, and The Devil’s Cartel also sees the return of the Overkill mode, although a number of other features from previous games (such as back to back, rock, paper and scissors) have been removed.
Reviews so far have been all over the place, as you can see from our round-up below.
