Sony Japan: PS4 unlikely to hit PS2 lifetime sales, but we’ll do our best

The president of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia has conceded that it is unlikely for a home console in today’s market to match the monumental sales milestone achieved by the PlayStation 2, but didn’t rule it out entirely.

Microsoft poised to grab PlayStation talent as Sony Santa Monica lays-off staff

Following news of lay-offs at Sony Santa Monica, Microsoft is wasting no time in diving in to scoop up some of the talent. The developer behind many PlayStation exclusive games, including the God of War series, has let an “undisclosed number” of staff go, claiming that it “is necessary to make changes to better serve the future projects of the studio”.

Kaz Hirai loves playing DriveClub, Gran Turismo in his spare time

Speaking during an interview with Variety (via DualShockers), President and CEO of Sony Corporation Kazuo Hirai revealed that he likes to indulge in a spot of DriveClub and Gran Turismo during his spare time — that is, when he’s not driving around in his flashy sports car.
