Ace Combat: Assault Horizon dated, Tekken CG animation detailed

Flight combat romp Ace Combat: Assault Horizon will land in U.S. stores on October 11, Namco Bandai’s announced.

The game will launch in Europe a few days later on October 14. The news comes following Namco’s Level Up press event in Dubai earlier today.

Elsewhere, the Japanese giant also slapped an early October date on Dark Souls for western territories, and teased that gamers can expect “excellent” pre-order incentives for the brutal RPG. A Collector’s Edition is also in the pipeline.

Finally, Namco also revealed that Tekken: Blood Vengeance, a CG animation flick, is in the works and will hit cinemas in 3D this summer. The movie takes place between the events of Tekken 5 and Tekken 6, and is being billed as a "suspense action film."

Furthermore, series producer Katsuhiro Harada also encouraged everyone to put the recent Hollywood adaptation to the back of their minds:

"That doesn’t have anything to do with it this time," Harada said. "We’re not trying to rewrite those wrongs. Fans are always asking us for a 3D movie. This is our response to them… We want to make a movie that everyone can enjoy, though. Not just Tekken fans."

We’ll be sure to keep you up to date on all Namco’s latest projects in the coming weeks and months.
