Street Fighter legend Yoshinori Ono has fed us a few more scraps of info regarding Street Fighter x Tekken’s character roster, revealing two brawlers who definitely won’t make the cut – Dan and Anna.
Quizzed by Siliconera as to who won’t be appearing in the crossover fighter, Ono-san replied, "On the Street Fighter side, I can tell you Dan will not be in the game," adding: "You may remember he was killed by a Tekken character at Comic-Con last year, so he won’t be in Street Fighter x Tekken."
"As much as I personally wanted to have a cool Nina and Anna tag battle, the director was against putting Anna because we already had Nina in. Sorry to all of the Anna fans out there!" he continued.
Elsewhere, the Street Fighter IV producer also touched on his favourite Tekken characters, revealing he’s quite partial to Nina and Paul.
The latter, obviously, hasn’t been confirmed for inclusion in Street Fighter x Tekken, though before the interviewer could touch base on the subject, Ono beat him to the punch: "your next question might be hey you haven’t announced Paul yet? You’re right I haven’t…"
Will Paul Phoenix and his ridiculously high hair grace us with their presence in the game? Only time will tell. Street Fighter x Tekken is due for release in 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
