Electronic Arts will lift the wraps off a sequel to 2010’s Medal of Honor at GDC in early March, if the latest batch of Internet gossip is to be believed.
The publisher has already begun dishing out invites to a press event on Tuesday, March 6, which just so happens to be the same week as GDC. It’s here that the game is expected to be announced.
Aside from that, you also have the fact developer Danger Close Games confirmed last year that Medal of Honor 2 was in the works, and an insert featuring artwork for the sequel was included with Battlefield 3 retail copies back in October 2011.
Rounding things off, U.K. publication PSM3 recently teased that a “mystery shooter sequel” would be unveiled in its next issue. Add all that up, and it’s looking increasingly likely MoH 2 is due to rear its head soon.
The original Medal of Honor acted as a reboot for the long-running FPS series, transitioning from World War II battlefields to a more contemporary setting in war-torn Afghanistan.
