Infinity Ward today announced that the forthcoming Call of Duty 4: Modern Warefare will feature an original soundtrack orchestrated by prestigious videogame and film composer, Harry Gregson-Williams.
Videogame aficionados will no doubt recognise Gregson-Williams’ works in a number of popular titles, where his talents are perhaps most attributed to his work on Konami’s Metal Gear Solid series. In addition to games, Gregson-Williams has also contributed to a number of successful films including Enemy of the State, Man On Fire and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
“Harry Gregson-Williams was the perfect choice to craft an immersive and rich soundtrack that matches the heightened atmosphere and tension of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare,” commented Infinity Ward Studio Head, Grant Collier.
“Harry’s wealth of experience, passion and intensity together with the talents of young composer, Stephen Barton, shine through in the score draws gamers deeper into the epic and cinematic experience that is Call of Duty 4.”
Call of Duty 4 is scheduled for release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 5.
