The untitled project was teased during a recent event for the forthcoming high-definition revamps of the first two games in the series.

According to 4Gamer, the new Enders Project is currently in an “experimental” phase, with Kojima-san looking at the idea of developing the game using his new Fox Engine.

Furthermore, Kojima-san conceived the project as a full-fledged sequel, meaning it’ll be a direct follow-up to Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, which was released on PlayStation 2 way back in 2003.

Early reports point to an ancient civilisation setting for the game.
