The PlayStation Vita has fallen on slightly dark times here in North America; sales are dropping and a lack of standout summer titles has left us longing. Still, it’s not all doom-and-gloom. Great games are right around the corner, including Sound Shapes and Persona 4 Golden.
According to the official Facebook page of developer Oddworld Inhabitants, you can add Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD and Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee to that list.
A few days ago, a post went live on the page saying the following:
"Oddworld on PlayStation VITA…
Both Stranger’s Wrath HD and Munch’s Oddysee HD are coming to VITA very soon, we just need to get them finished up and through Sony QA before we can release them.
But I don’t think you’ll have to hold your breathes [sic] too long "
Both Stranger’s Wrath and Munch’s Odyssee debuted to critical acclaim on the original Xbox, but Stranger’s Wrath HD was met with similar praise when it hit PlayStation Network earlier this year. Let’s hope the PS Vita port earns the same accolades. The Oddworld games are something of cult favorites, but they will certainly be welcome additions to the ailing handheld’s library.
