A PlayStation Vita-exclusive project developed by Marvelous AQL and SCE Japan Studio, Soul Sacrifice is the brainchild of Mega Man mastermind Keiji Inafune, and focuses on the player’s ability to sacrifice body parts.
The game takes place from a third-person perspective, and sees players controlling a sorcerer who is fully customisable with various abilities. Soul Sacrifice will support four-player co-op, with gamers able to sacrifice party members in order to dispatch powerful enemies.
Soul Sacrifice is scheduled for release in Japan in Q4 2012/Q1 2013, with a western launch due around the same time.
