Hideo Kojima has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will feature a day/night cycle.
The Kojima Productions boss told Eurogamer that the cycle will influence several aspects of the game, including guard patrol patterns and other, undisclosed elements.
Eurogamer went on to note that the young boy seen in the cage at the end of the demo is Chico from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and Snake can be seen negotiating for his release at the demo’s climax.
The open-world stealth title was unveiled during a special Metal Gear 25th anniversary event at the end of August. The game is billed as a prequel to Metal Gear Solid 5, and features Big Boss in the lead role as he attempts to infiltrate an enemy compound stationed at an as-yet unknown location.
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will be release for current generation platforms in 2013.
