Rainbow Six: Patriot is still in development though there’s a chance it could be released for next-generation platforms, Ubisoft’s Yves Guillemot has revealed.
News comes following a chat with Polygon, where the executive teased that the gritty shooter will “surprise” the industry when it finally shows its face.
"The only thing I can say is that we have a good team working on it, and it’s really looking good," said Guillemot. "So when it will come, it will surprise the industry."
He went on to say that there is a “good chance” the game will be released for Sony and Microsoft’s next-gen formats.
Ubisoft released a teaser trailer back in December last year, and in March it was announced that Jean-Sebastian Decant had taken over from David Sears as creative director on the project. Since then however, nothing has been revealed on the game.
