Sony has unveiled a new developer diary video for upcoming gory slash-‘em-up God of War: Ascension for your consumption.
This latest video focuses on the Desert of Lost Souls multiplayer map, which you will probably recognise from various screenshots thanks to the massive Cyclops that has taken up residence in the background.
God of War: Ascension is a prequel to the original trilogy, and sees angry anti-hero Kratos attempting to severe ties with Ares, the God of War. To do this, Kratos must lay waste to the three Furies, and take on legions of other beasts on his journey.
In a first for the series, Ascension also includes a multiplayer component, which accommodates up to eight players. Here, gamers can pick from one of four Gods (Zeus, Hades, Ares or Poseidon) each of whom possesses unique abilities and play-styles and battle it out, earning XP along the way.
God of War: Ascension is due out exclusively on PlayStation 3 in March 2013.
