Sony has announced that the first three Spyro the Dragon titles will be hitting the European PlayStation Store next week.
The PSOne platformers will be up for download on December 12, and come as a result of numerous fan requests from the PS Blog community.
Spyro the Dragon was one of Sony’s tent pole franchises for the original PlayStation back in the late 90s, with the first game – developed by Insomniac Games – hitting stores in September 1998.
Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! followed a year later with Spyro: Year of the Dragon rounding out the original trilogy in 2000. This was also to be Insomniac’s last Spyro title before they started work on Ratchet & Clank for PlayStation 2.
