Epic Games Vice President Mark Rein has conceded that the PlayStation 3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 may not see the light of day in Europe this year.
Speaking to Eurogamer, Rein stated, "We think there’s a very solid shot we’ll get out this year – I don’t know about Europe. Europe’s a problem because the certification process in Europe takes longer.
"They’re testing all these different languages in all these different countries, so I doubt it’ll be released this year in Europe. But I don’t know. We’ll have to cross our fingers and wait and see”, he added.
Despite this, the company announced that they are striving to release the game in North America this year, with the PC version due out later this month. An Xbox 360 port is due in early 2008.
