Lara Croft: Reflections trademarked

A U.S. trademark titled ‘Lara Croft: Reflections’ has been filed by Square Enix Europe, reports Siliconera.

The filing appeared online last week, and gives mention of an “online computer game service.” All hopes of additional story content for the recently-released Tomb Raider can be ruled out, however; Crystal Dynamics confirmed yesterday that all DLC will be multiplayer-based.

So, what does this leave? It could be a new title, with a favourite theory being passed around that Reflections is a new spin-off outing ala The Guardian of Light. Having said that, Crystal Dynamics did say not too long ago that it didn’t have any plans to continue that particular avenue.

Could it be a sequel to the eponymous series reboot? We wouldn’t rule it out, but it seems a bit premature given Tomb Raider only hit stores earlier this month. Still, the developer has already admitted it has Lara’s future clearly mapped out.

We’ll be sure to bring you more details as soon as we have them. In the meantime, read our Tomb Raider review to see why we’re so giddy over Lara’s future.
