As gamers eagerly await the anticipated drop of the new Battlefield 4 trailer tomorrow, news dropped that Frostbite 2.0 will not be used for the new title.
Currently coined "Next Generation Frostbite Engine, this new engine will take the place of Frostbite 2.0 and will be upping the ante of its predecessor. We know Electronic Arts took a bug love to the Frostbite Engine, since it appeared in many of the new releases from EA that followed after Battlefield 3. This could mean similar affects and gamers are in for quite a treat with a new engine and new hardware.
Destructive maps are staples in the series, and one of the many enhancements that’ll come with Battlefield 4 is "improved, more efficient destruction." For more information on what’s coming, stay tuned to PSU as more information–and the official trailer, which comes tomorrow–releases.
