Do you think Beyond: Two Souls looks too good to be a PlayStation 3 title? Think again. The founder of Quantic Dream has said that that the game is nothing compared to what the French studio is coming up with for PlayStation 4
"I know that some people are surprised by what we can do on PS3 with Beyond, and we have heard many people even question whether this is a current-gen game. But trust me, if I showed you what we’re doing with the PS4 you would be amazed," Cage told CVG. "It’s really surprising. It’s another world."
When quizzed as to what PS4 offers him as a games designer, the Heavy Rain creator added: “Generally it will give us more subtlety, more nuance, more detail.”
Quantic Dream was founded in 1997, and released its first project, Omikron: The Nomad Soul, in 1999 for PC and Dreamcast. Beginning with Heavy Rain in 2010, the studio has focused exclusively on PlayStation platforms, with Beyond: Two Souls due out in October.
The company has yet to formally announce what it is working on for PS4, though we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.
