Grip Games has lifted the wraps off a new multiplayer action title for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita named Atomic Ninjas.
Due out this summer in the U.S. and Europe, the game takes the form of a 2.5D action romp where players pit super-powered ninjas against fellow gamers online or A.I. controlled bots.
In a unique twist however, Atomic Ninjas doesn’t allow players to actually kill each other. Instead, gamers must take advantage of various environmental hazards and other obstacles to outsmart and defeat their opponents.
Seven arenas will be featured in the game, each one containing a multitude of ways in which gamers can defeat their enemies. Atomic Ninjas is as much about “malevolent creativity” as it is lighting fast reflexes.
Multiple game modes will be supported, with both online and local split-screen multiplayer available. In addition, Atomic Ninjas also supports cross-connectivity between the PS3 and PS Vita versions of the game.
Atomic Ninjas is scheduled for release via PlayStation Network in summer 2013. Stay tuned to PSU.com for more information.
