PS Vita Medal of Honor title was in development at Slant Six Games

Slant Six Games, the studio behind Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, was reportedly chiselling away on a new Medal of Honor game for PlayStation Vita.

Artwork unearthed by Internet sleuth Superannuation clearly depicts the game’s logo alongside images of three SAS soldiers. PS Vita’s logo is also seen.

The project was presumably shelved after Electronic Arts pulled the curtain down on the series after disappointing sales of last year’s MoH: Warfighter.

First-person shooters on PS Vita have been a mixed bag thus far, with Resistance: Burning Skies doing a solid job at bringing twin-stick shooting to Sony’s handheld. On the flip side, Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified was a complete disaster, panned by critics and sold poorly to boot.

This year all that looks set to change however with the release of Killzone: Mercenary from Guerrilla Cambridge.

Stay tuned.
