Infinity Ward has revealed that development of this year’s entry in the Call of Duty franchise was aided by Activision’s Raven Software and Neversoft.
Call of Duty: Ghosts was shown off properly for the first time at Microsoft’s Xbox One event yesterday. Following the show, Infinity Ward wrote the following on Twitter:
“Now that our reveal is live, we wanted to give special thanks to @RavenSoftware & @Neversoft for their support in developing #CODGhosts.”
CoD: Ghosts is set a few years in the future where the global balance of power has been irrevocably changed following a ‘devastating attack.’ As a result, the United States of America is no longer recognised as a superpower.
The game will feature a brand new engine and will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Wii U.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is scheduled to ship worldwide on November 5.
