Sony has launched a 12GB PlayStation 3 model in North America and Canada.
This budget hardware release clocks in at $200, and can also be picked up as part of a bundle deal with Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and The Last of Us for $260.
Those of you who live in PAL regions will probably recognize this particular SKU, as it was made available in Europe for the launch of the PS3 Super Slim. While it’s a bit lacking in the hard drive department, this model can be upgraded or take advantage of extra storage via external USB devices.
Sony is gearing up for the launch of its next-generation console, the PlayStation 4, this holiday season. The machine will retail for $399/£349, undercutting its leading rival – Microsoft’s Xbox One – by $100/£80.
