While PS Vita owners were dismayed to hear that Rayman Legends on Sony’s portable would be missing content from other versions, Ubisoft has confirmed that this port will receive an update that will bring it up to parity with other versions.
On the official Ubisoft blog, Communications Manager Gary Steinman responded to a comment regarding the missing content in the PS Vita version. Steinman said, "I know some of you have questions about the Vita version, so here’s what’s going on: Due to a longer development time than expected, we couldn’t initially include the Invasion Mode–essentially, a second take on existing Rayman Legends maps–in the Vita version of the game. However, we can confirm that the Invasion Mode will be added via a free patch, at a later date."
So there we have it. It’s good to have an answer regarding this and also good to see a publisher be honest about the situation and even say that it will update the game for free. It wouldn’t have been surprising to see the missing content be sold as DLC.
