Michael Fassbender has today told the Daily Beast some exciting news about the upcoming Assassain’s Creed movie.
Fassbender was asked the following question: " I heard that you’re doing a film based on the video game Assassin’s Creed. What’s the status on that? "
In response, the star of Inglorious Basterds and Prometheus replied, "That’s definitely happening. We’re just developing the script at the moment. I’d heard of it but had never played the game. I don’t have a video game player … that’s not what they’re called. I met up with the guys from Ubisoft and they told me the story behind it, and I thought it was very interesting — the idea of reliving memories."
The Assassin’s Creed movie was announced last year, but shooting had been pushed back to 2015. However, with Fassbender now announcing things are moving forward, fans of the hit games will hopefully see a cinematic adaptation sooner, rather than later.
