Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has notched up 1.5 million registrations.
Final Fantasy XIV was originally released on PC in 2010, though experienced a patchy launch and attracted luke warm reviews. As such, Square decided to revamp the entire game with the follow-up A Realm Reborn; a new version of the MMO-RPG released for PlayStation 3 and PC. The game will also be released for PlayStation 4 in 2014.
A Realm Reborn incorporates a multitude of updates and improvements to the core FFXIV experience, including a new game engine, improved servers, a new storyline and enhanced gameplay.
