For a limited time, every PS4 comes with $10 of PlayStation Store credit, a 30-day free trial of PlayStation Plus, and a 30-day free trial of Music Unlimited.
The latter two perks will only be available for first-time subscribers, so it sounds like current Plus members won’t be able to add 30 free days to their existing subscriptions. The Music Unlimited trial, meanwhile, is a likely bid by SCEA to demonstrate the music service’s value to PS4 owners, as Music Unlimited is the only way by which you can listen to music on the console while playing a game. MP3 files cannot be locally stored or played except through Sony Entertainment Network’s app.
I’m way more excited about the $10 credit, which can be applied to any game, movie, TV show, and piece of content on the PlayStation Store. From triple-A blockbusters to indie titles, there’s certain to be something at launch to attract your $10 code redemption, though the prices of many smaller launch games remain unknown.
These inclusions are only confirmed for the United States and Canada, and will only be available for a limited time.
