Shuhei Yoshida, the President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS), has confirmed the company is looking into a ‘small’ number of hardware failures pertaining to the PlayStation 4.
The executive made the comments in light of reports from early adopters of the new console. Some have flagged up complete hardware failures, while others noted issues related to HDMI output (via IGN, Kotaku).
Writing on Twitter, Yoshida-san said, “Be assured we are investigating reported PS4 issues. The number is very small compared to shipped, we believe they are isolated incidents.”
PS4 is officially released in the U.S. tomorrow and in the U.K. and Europe on November 29.
