The developer behind Alien Isolation has confirmed that the survival horror title is targeting 1080p on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Speaking on Twitter, Creative Assembly commented, “Happy to confirm that the game will run in 1080p on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One!”
“Right now, we’re definitely aiming for native 1080p :)” it added.
Presumably this means that while the PS4 version will run at 1080p native, there is a chance the Xbox One version will be upscaled — note the fact they’re ‘aiming’ for native 1080p.
Alien Isolation is due out in late 2014 for PS4, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. The game, published by SEGA, stars Amanda Ripley, daughter of the iconic heroine of the original 1979 film Alien. Players are pitted against a single enemy, and must utilize the environment to their advantage in order to starve off the non-scripted Alien’s attacks.
