Uncharted PS4, The Last of Us GotY Edition this year is ‘doubtful,’ says Naughty Dog

UPDATE: Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli has clarified, in a statement to PSLS, that he wasn’t referring to Uncharted 4 or The Last of Us: Game of the Year Edition in his response to the below-mentioned PS.Blog comment. Instead, he says, "I answer the questions when replying. The only question was the Easter egg question." So, we’re unlikely to see Uncharted 4 easter eggs in The Last of Us: Left Behind, but that’s all we can concretely glean at this time.

Original: Naughty Dog has indicated that the next chapter in the Uncharted series, currently in development for PlayStation 4, is unlikely to be released this year.

The developer made the comment on the PlayStation Blog (via DualShockers) in response to a fan, who asked if Nathan Drake would be gracing Sony’s new console this year, as well as a Game of the Year Edition of The Last of Us.

In response, community boss Eric Monacelli wrote, “Hah. Doubtful.”

Elsewhere, Monacelli revealed that the forthcoming single-player expansion for The Last of Us, titled Left Behind, will include Trophy support. Pre-order bonuses will also be available for those who have purchased a Season Pass.

Uncharted 4 was announced last November, though no firm details on the game have been revealed as of yet.
