Sony will release a Game of the Year Edition version of The Last of Us for PlayStation 4 this summer, according to a tipster on the official PlayStation forums.
As reported by behindgames.com, the poster claims that Naughty Dog’s critically-acclaimed post-apocalyptic adventure will come to PS4 this July.
In regards to his source, the tipster states, ‘If I name him, somebody at Sony will lose his job.” He goes on to say that Beyond: Two Souls will also be getting the same GotY treatment.
The report follows on from numerous rumors that The Last of Us will be getting a PS4 and/or Game of the Year Edition release, though to date nothing has been officially confirmed by Naughty Dog or Sony.
Rumors have also persisted on a sequel, which is supposedly in the works for a 2015 release on PS4. The Last of Us' first and only chunk of single-player DLC, Left Behind, arrives on February 14.
