The ESRB has given Dark Souls 2 the ratings treatment, awarding From Software’s upcoming brutal hack-’n-slash RPG a Teen rating.
If this seems a bit off, then you’d be right; previous entries in the series, including spiritual predecessor Demon’s Souls, have received a Mature rating.
As you would perhaps expect, the ESRB rating system turned up blood and gore, mild language, and mild nudity among the many highlights found within Dark Soul 2.
Dark Souls 2 is scheduled to ship for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America on March 11, and in Europe on March 14.
The game’s producer recently hinted that DLC could be on the cards for the game, though nothing has been set in stone yet.
