New Kingdom Hearts 3 info coming soon

Square Enix has promised that new information pertaining to Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy XV will be arriving “in the near future.’

Speaking in light of the PlayStation 4’s launch in Japan, producer Shinji Hashimoto admitted that both titles have been a long time coming, but pledged the studio is pulling out all the stops to ensure fans aren’t disappointed.

Elsewhere, it seems that Square is already eyeing up English voice talent for the latest chapter in the Final Fantasy series.

The resume of Katy Townsend lists ‘various’ roles for FFXV (via NeoGAF), and is also credited in the voiceovers for Lightning Returns. In addition, Chris Borders, a Voice Casting Director who worked on Lightning Returns, also appears to be occupying the same role in FFXV.

Both Kingdom Hearts III and FFXV were announced at E3 last year during Sony’s press conference. Kingdom Hearts has seen numerous spin-off titles in recent years, though this latest title marks the first full-fledged sequel since 2004’s Kingdom Hearts II.

Final Fantasy XV meanwhile has been in the works since 2006, when it was known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII before Square opted for a name change.
