Hollow Fragment is based on the author Reki Kawahara's Sword Art Online light novels, which spawned a popular anime adaptation in 2012. It features a new character named Philia and is the sequel to the PSP game Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment, which contains an alternate story to the one featured in the books and anime.
Sword Art Online's premise is about players who become unable to escape a virtual reality MMORPG game alive unless they complete the game. The anime is currently available for streaming on Netflix, Hulu, and Crunchyroll with the a new second series set to debut in July 2014.
