UPDATE: Soul Sacrifice Delta: Shuhei Yoshida hopes for western release

UPDATE: The American and European PlayStation Blogs have confirmed Soul Sacrifice Delta will launch in the West on May 13 in North America and May 14 in Europe.

ORIGINAL STORY: The president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS) has expressed hope that Soul Sacrifice Delta will see the light of day in the U.S. and Europe.

Shuhei Yoshida dropped the comments during the latest PlayStation Blogcast (via DualShockers) where it was evident the executive is keen to let western gamers get a taste of the action-RPG follow-up.

Soul Sacrifice Delta was released in Japan last month, and includes a host of new additions over the original. Chief among the extra content includes new bosses, a third faction known as ‘Grim’ and fresh co-op attacks.

While a western release has yet to be confirmed, a retailer listing earlier this month suggests the game will be released outside of Japan.

The original Soul Sacrifice launched in the west in April 2013. Read our review here.
