Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida banned from MiiVerse twice

Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WSS), has revealed during a friendly natter with PlayStation 4 architect Mark Cerny that he was banned from MiiVerse – the social networking and online forum run by Nintendo – not once, but twice.

“The first time was because I had my Twitter account in my profile and that’s against the rules…. The second time is because I wrote, ‘I love PS.’ You’re not supposed to promote a commercial product in MiiVerse, so they correctly interpreted ‘PS’ as ‘PlayStation’” wrote Yoshida-san.

The executive also shared his memories of working alongside Ken ‘The Father of PlayStation’ Kutaragi:

“I was complimented by Ken twice! When I say this to my colleagues, they say ‘twice? That’s a lot!’” he said.

As head honcho of Worldwide Studios, Yoshida-san oversees a number of major first-party studios, including but not limited to Naughty Dog, SCE Santa Monica, Evolution Studios and Team ICO.
